How to Enable or Disable Domain’s Privacy Protection

When you register a domain name, your personal information—like your name, email, address, and phone number—is stored in the public WHOIS database. To keep this information private, you can enable Domain Privacy Protection. This guide will walk you through how to enable or disable privacy protection for your domain using your Servers9 Client Area.

🛡️ What Is Domain Privacy Protection?

Domain Privacy Protection (also called WHOIS protection) hides your personal contact details from being publicly displayed on WHOIS lookup tools. Instead, your registrar’s proxy contact information is shown.

🔒 Benefits of Privacy Protection:

  • Keeps your personal info safe from spammers and scammers
  • Prevents unsolicited calls and emails
  • Adds an extra layer of security to your domain ownership
